| Is there an official sponsor of Destination Yosemite? | No, the program was created to help anyone explore Yosemite and improve their health and fitness to open up the possibilites for activity. You are your own sponsor. | |
| I'm interested. What do I do first? | Go to www.3winsfitness.com and subscribe to the newsletter so you get updated on all new information for training, learn more details about the program. | |
| Are April 17, 18 the only dates? | You can go to Yosemite anytime you wish but these dates will be when the Park Rx Destination Yosemite group will gather. | |
| Who can participate? | This is open to any and all. You'll pick your adventure by exploring https://www.yosemite.com/ and in the coming months, you'll meet people doing different activities. | |
| Will there be training? | You can go to San Fernando Park, 208 Park Ave. on MWF at 8:15am-9:15am and join the free 3 WINS Fitness exercise program. The newsletter will have tips and exercises. | |
| Is there a built in progression to the program? | This will be discussed in upcoming newsletters but there will also be some periodic meet ups announced where you can track your progress. | |
| I'm older. Is there something for me to aim for? | Old is a number. Depending on your capacity, you'll have four months to work towards an appropriate adventure. Yes, there is something for everyone! | |
| Is there going to be a program kick-off date? | Yes. On Dec 6, 2025, there will be a kick-off at San Fernando Park, 208 Park Ave. Rain or shine. See next question for what will be available? | |
| What happpens at the kick-off on Dec. 6? | Former 3 WINS Fitness instructors who are now licensed physical therapists will be on-site to evaluate your muscle/joint weaknesses that you can improve. Former 3 WINS Instructors who are personal and group fitness trainers will share the 10 most important activities to be successful accomplishing your adventure. You'll meet the regular 3 WINS Fitness instructors and learn about the 3 different fitness level groups. You'll meet fellow participants and join the WhatsApp group to find out activities others will be doing to prepare themselves for a successful adventure. | |
| How do I decide my goal? | It might be a goal for this program or it might be a goal for next year or your lifetime health! Think about this in terms of Hopes and Dreams you have for being more active.Your health and fitness might need to increase in small progressive steps and these can be discussed with instructors at the 3 WINS class. You might start at one fitness level and progress to the next as you get stronger and your cardiovascular system gains capacity. | |
| I don't live in Los Angeles, can I still join and do exercise? | Absolutely. The details are given on where we'll meet on April 17 and 18. The newsletter will provide training tips and you can exercise in your neighborhood park and be doing the same exercises as 3 WINS Fitness. | |
| What's a key to success? | Involve friends and family in your health and fitness journey. Have them join the group and exercise right along with you. Make it a committment appointment every day to exercise and move together. It's not a daily negotiation. It's what you will do to support each other. | |
| Can I use Yosemite to form my own work or fitness group? | YES! That's exactly the idea! Activate everyone you know! Make it about Team Building for your work group. Gather your church friends. Use this as your built-in tool. Just have everyone subscribe to the newsletters so they receive all the same information. All the work will be done for you ... you just guide your team to the information. | |
| What is the purpose behind this program? | To give everyone access to quality programming and assistance to do something that makes their world bigger. Teach the ability to be self-sufficient in improving their health. | |
| What is meant by Exercise Makes Your Life Bigger | It's about being able to do more with your life. The endurance to go further. The strength to work on balance and falls prevention. Go to new places and try new things! | |
| Can we get our housekeeping campsites together with friends? | To make this happen, you need to RESERVE AS ONE GROUP (One payment). I've made 8 reservations at once so all the confirmations come to me and all 8 are right next to each other. You'll have your firepits in close proximity and some of you will even share a common wall. You cannot request specific sites. You'll receive your sites on check-in. | |
| Could I use the trip to stimulate my fitness training business? | Yes! That's exactly the idea! Teach them to Control Their Destiny. Create your own training program for different levels of fitness. Make it an activity for all your clients but emphasize to them, this is not a sponsored activity. They are responsible for themselves! Have them subscribe to the newsletter. Activate everyone you know! Make it about Team Building! |
